02. Definition of cookies

Cookies are IT data, in particular text files, stored on the Users' terminal equipment for the use of the Site. These cookies allow the Website to recognise the User's device and display the Website appropriately, tailored to the User's individual preferences.

Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, the time they are stored on the User's terminal device and a unique number.

03. Use of cookies

Cookies are used to adapt the content of the Website to the User's preferences and to optimise the use of the Website. They are also used to create anonymous, aggregated statistics which help to understand how the User uses the Website, which allows to improve its structure and content, excluding the personal identification of the User.

04. Types of cookies

There are, in principle, two types of cookies used - ‘session’ and ‘permanent’. The former are temporary files that remain on the User's device until the Website is switched off. ‘Permanent’ files remain on the User's device for the time specified in the parameters of the cookies or until they are manually deleted by the User. Cookies used by the Website operator's partners, including in particular the Website Users, are subject to their own privacy policies.

There is a detailed breakdown of cookies, in terms of:

  1. Necessary for the service:

    A) Functional - they are important for the operation of the Site. They enhance the functionality of the Site: without them, the Site will work correctly, but will not be tailored to your preferences. To ensure a high level of functionality of the Website - without the settings saved in cookies, the level of functionality of the Website may be reduced, but this should not prevent full use of the Website. They serve very important functionalities of the Website - their blocking will result in the selected functions not working properly.

    B) Necessary - these are cookies that are necessary for the proper functioning of the Site or the functionality the User wishes to use.

    C) Business - they enable the business model under which the Site is made available. Their blocking will not make the entire functionality of the Site unavailable, but may reduce the level of service provision due to the Site owner's inability to realise revenues that subsidise the operation of the Site. This category includes, for example, advertising cookies.
  2. The length of time for which cookies are placed on the User's terminal equipment:

    A) Temporary (session) cookies - cookies placed for the duration of the browser (session), are deleted when the browser is closed.

    B) Permanent cookies - these are not deleted when the browser is closed and remain on the User's device for a limited or no period of validity depending on the Website owner's settings.
  3. Origin - from the Site Administrator who manages the cookies:

    A) Own cookies - cookies placed directly by the owner of the Website that has been visited.

    B) External cookies - cookies placed by external parties whose website components have been called by the owner of the Site. Cookies may be called up by the Administrator using scripts, components that are located on the partner's servers, located in another location - another country or even a completely different legal system. If the Site Administrator calls up components that originate outside the Administrator's system, standard cookie policies other than this Policy may apply.
  4. The purpose they serve:

    A) Site Configuration - allow you to set up features and services on the Site.

    B) Site security and reliability - enable verification of authenticity and optimisation of Site performance.

    C) Session status - allow information to be recorded about how Users use the Site. Cookies used to record the so-called ‘session state’ help to improve services and enhance the browsing experience on the Site.

    D) Processes - enable the smooth operation of the Site itself and the functions available on it.

    E) Ads - allow you to display ads that are more interesting to Users and more valuable to publishers and advertisers, allow you to personalise ads, may also be used to display ads outside the Site.

    F) Location - allows the information displayed to be tailored to the User's location, which also depends on the location settings selected by the User on the device they are using.

    G) Audience analysis (statistics) - allow the owner of the Site to better understand the preferences of Users and, through analysis, to improve and develop products and services. Normally, the owner of the Website or an external entity with which it cooperates collects information anonymously and processes trend data without identifying the personal data of individual Users.
  5. Interference with User privacy:

    A) Non-harmful - these are cookies necessary for the proper functioning of the Site, needed to enable the functionality of the Site, but their operation has nothing to do with tracking the User.

    B) Research - used to track Users, but does not include information that identifies a specific User.

We would like to inform you that we store cookies on your terminal equipment and then access the information contained in them for statistical purposes, for marketing purposes (remarketing) and to ensure the proper functioning of the Website. We also inform you that there may be a need or legitimate interest to use other types of cookies than those mentioned above.
